Cavite Road Network Mapping Party

9 people, 3 vehicles, 12 GPS units, 10 ½ hours, 500 kilometers, 13 towns and cities, 1,300 POIs, 1 massive OpenStreetMap mapping party!

This animation shows the progress of three teams in going around the Philippine province of Cavite on 11 September 2010 in order to collect data and GPS tracks. Starting in Alabang, Metro Manila, the teams went south and eventually ended up at the picturesque city of Tagaytay. The collected data was then used to improve the crowdsourced OpenStreetMap project.
